The Cross Plains Buffaloes enter the season with more questions to answer than just about any team in the Big Country, but ninth-year coach Daniel Purvis is more excited than anxious to see how his team responds.

The Buffs return just seven lettermen from last year’s 7-4 team after graduating all five of their offensive line starters and their tight end. Yet Purvis still has hopes that his team will extend its current postseason streak to a fifth consecutive season in 2019.
