LOCKNEY — After a venue change and multiple weather delays, it was New Deal still standing at the end of a marathon region semifinal series with Hawley on Saturday.

Coach Jason Ybarra’s team rebounded from a 4-3 walk-off loss Friday at Hardin-Simmons to defeat the Bearcats 8-7 and 4-3 on Saturday and advance to the Region I-2A championship series, where they’ll play Albany next week.
