After being no-hit in a 1-0 loss Tuesday at San Angelo Central, the Abilene High baseball team got the bats going early in Friday’s rematch at Blackburn Field.
The Eagles grabbed the momentum with an eight-run second inning and did enough the rest of the way to pull back to .500 in district with a big 12-8 win.
AHS, now 16-8 overall and 5-5 in District 3-6A play, pounded out 14 hits in the victory, including six in the all-important second-inning outburst.
