ALEDO — The Wylie baseball team exploded for eight fifth-inning runs against Aledo on Tuesday to rally from a 6-3 deficit and secure an important 11-6 win over the District 4-5A leading Bearcats.

The Bulldogs pounded out 16 hits, including eight consecutive singles during their fifth-inning outburst, to improve their record to 9-6 overall and 3-2 in league play.
