Limited by Kallie Erwin to just two hits and one unearned run on Tuesday, the Abilene High Lady Eagles needed a near perfect effort from ace Kaylen Washington to avoid dropping their first District 3-6A game to Hurst Bell.

As has been the case all season, though, the senior right-hander delivered.

Washington held the Lady Raiders to a hit and two walks and struck out 12 Bell hitters to notch her sixth shutout of the season and lift AHS to a 1-0 win.
