FORT WORTH — The Abilene High baseball team improved to 2-0 at the Western Hills tournament Friday, downing Azle 5-3 on the strength of some early offense and a strong pitching effort by starter Bailey Aulerich.

The Eagles scored all their runs in the first three innings, amassing a 5-0 lead after the top of the third, and Aulerich took care of the rest, holding the Hornets to three runs — two earned — in a six-inning complete game.
