FORT WORTH — Abilene High scored two runs in each of the first two innings and that was all the offense starting pitcher Ryan Johnson needed Thursday in a 7-3 win over Fort Worth Brewer on the opening day of the Western Hills baseball tournament.

Trailing 1-0 heading into their first at-bat, the Eagles tied the game on an error and pushed ahead on Josh Carroll’s RBI single, before adding two more runs to their lead the next inning on a passed ball and an error.
