HURST — Kaylen Washington tossed a complete-game shutout and the Abilene High Lady Eagles turned eight hits into seven runs Wednesday to rout Hurst Bell 7-0 and improve to 2-0 in District 3-6A play.

AHS, 13-1-2 overall, took control with a four-run second inning and added two more in the third to stake Washington a lead she would have little trouble protecting the rest of the way.
