EASTLAND — If ever there were an injury that was audible throughout the Big Country, it may have occurred in October of 2017 during an obscure fall league basketball game in Cisco between the Eastland girls and Huckabay.

With the regular season still a month away, Eastland and star player Hailee Stacy were expected by some to challenge perennial power Brock for a district title. 

Fate, however, intervened.
