STRAWN — Three times in the past 10 years, the Strawn Greyhounds have finished the season in the best way possible — with a state championship.
At 11 a.m. Wednesday at AT&T Stadium, Strawn will be looking to pick up a fourth title since 2008 against the team that it beat to start that tear.
In 2008, Strawn beat Follett 58-29 in the championship game to ignite its dominant run.
This season, the Greyhounds and Panthers both enter the game with identical 12-2 records and are the two top ranked teams in Class 1A Division II with Strawn checking in at No. 1.
