Five teams this week in Class 1A broke the 80-point mark statewide with two of them being from the Big Country.

Zephyr hammered Evant 94-48, while the Panthers of Abilene Christian High School beat Granbury North Central Texas Academy 81-36. ACHS’ win marked the first time this season that the Panthers won consecutive games.

Gordon and Hermleigh broke the 70-point plateau this week, while Robert Lee just missed in its 69-20 win over Bronte in the Coke County Rivalry.

In other six-man news, Trent has canceled the remainder of its season due to low numbers.
