Clyde 21, Stamford 13 — CHS was the lone team in this district to play on Friday, with the rest enjoying a bye week to prepare for the opening of district play on Oct. 12.

And needless to say, they made the most of the opportunity to snag the spotlight. 

A week removed from seeing QB Peyton Bevel set state records with 789 yards passing and 12 TDs in a win over De Leon, SHS was handed a stunning upset loss by coach Scott Campbell’s Clyde team.
