Blizzards fall to Iraan in plague of fumbles

IRAAN — Sooner or later, every option team will face its mortal enemy — fumbles — at the worst possible time.

It was Winters’ turn in Friday’s  Big Country Preps Game of the Week, which saw the Blizzards cough up of five of them among six turnovers in a 27-26 loss to Iraan. 

Winters quarterback Jovan Young was tackled in the backfield on an attempted go-ahead two-point conversion with 39 seconds to play. And following a successful onside kick, he was intercepted by Joe Kennedy as time expired to preserve the win for Iraan (6-0).
