District 7-2A Division II: Week 5 Report

Hamlin 28, Stratford 14 — Hamlin remained unbeaten with a balanced offense and solid defense in this neutral field game in Plainview. 

The Pipers rushed for 182, passed for 168 and limited Stratford to just 210 yards in total offense. 

Hamlin heads into its bye week at 5-0. Stratford fell to 2-3.

Cross Plains

Cross Plains 21, Plains 7  The Buffaloes (4-1) held their fifth opponent in five starts to seven points or less to gain momentum heading into this week’s open date. 

CPHS will open district play on the road at Haskell on Oct. 12. 

Bullard Brook Hill 50, Albany 14 Khalan Griffin tallied 323 yards in total offense and five scores to lift Brook Hill  (3-1). 

Ryan Hill tallied both of Albany’s touchdowns, beginning with a 2-yard run in the third quarter and a 23-yard reception in the game’s final seconds. 

Albany fell to 0-5 for the first time since 1956.

Haskell (1-3 The Indians were idle on Friday, and will be open again this week. They will next see action on Oct. 12 against Cross Plains. 

Baird (3-1) — The Bears were idle on Friday, but will back in action on Friday when they play host to Roby (0-4). 

Roscoe (2-2)  The Plowboys were idle on Friday, but will back in action on Friday in a neutral site game with Gruver (4-1) in Plainview.
