BCP Podcast No. 13: Evan, Daniel talk Big Spring football with Mitch McLemore

Big Spring football coach Mitch McLemore endured a tough first season with the Steers, overseeing an 0-10 campaign that stretched a multi-year losing streak to 25 games by the end of 2017.

That skid, which hit 26 games with a season-opening loss to Midland Greenwood, came to an end last week in a 33-7 win at Sweetwater, and the Steers look poised to make a huge leap forward this fall. McLemore, a former Stamford assistant under Wayne Hutchinson who had a successful stretch as head coach at Junction, took some time this week to talk about that victory and its impact, the foundation that was laid during last season and his coaching past and future in this week’s Capital Farm Credit Wednesday Night Podcast.

Also in this episode, Big Country Preps’ Evan Ren and Daniel Youngblood discuss their biggest takeaways from an eventful Week 2 slate in the Big Country.
