For the better part of a half Friday, Cisco’s Region I-2A Division I title game against unbeaten Post was going exactly how first-year Loboes coach Kevin Stennett thought it would.
The game, which was scoreless until 3:20 mark of the second quarter, was shaping up to be a physical slobber-knocker with both offenses struggling to solve the active and speedy defenses across from them.
But a couple of Cisco mistakes just before halftime opened a window for Post and the Antelopes ran right through, riding a 14-0 halftime lead to an impressive 33-0 victory at Abilene Christian University’s Wildcat Stadium.
