MIDLAND — The Abilene High football team had little answer for the Midland Lee offense Friday, surrendering 511 total yards in a 51-19 loss to Midland Lee.
The Rebels scored the game’s first 22 points and built a 30-6 lead by halftime, bouncing back from a district-opening loss to Odessa Permian to improve to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in District 2-6A play.
AHS, which fell to 1-4 and 1-1, finished with 357 yards of total offense, but never got closer than 18 points in the second half.
