STAMFORD — Coming off a disappointing 54-21 loss to Class 3A powerhouse Jim Ned on Saturday, the Stamford Lady Bulldogs entered Tuesday night’s game against Class 1A Jayton wanting to recapture some momentum and more importantly, some confidence.
Mission accomplished.
Laylonna Applin scored 15 points and Tylee Bevel added 14 more to lift Stamford to a 64-21 win over the Lady Jaybirds, lifting Stamford to 2-1 on the year.
Jayton (1-3) was led by Kloe Thomas with 8 points and Katherine McGee with five.
