Brock 28, Argyle Liberty Christian 21 — The Eagles outscored the Warriors 21-7 over the middle two quarters and made a goal line stand in the waning seconds Friday to edge Liberty Christian and improve to 2-1 on the season.

Brock, which was outgained 406-386, trailed 14-7 after a quarter and 21-14 at the nine-minute mark of the second period. But coach Chad Worrell’s team scored the final 14 points of the game, getting touchdown runs Nos. 3 and 4 from Cash Jones to take a 28-21 lead that it would protect the rest of the way.

Jones had 202 rushing yards on 28 carries to lead Brock, while quarterback Logan Lightfoot hit five of seven throws for 90 yards. The Eagles will close out nondistrict play next week at Breckenridge.
