GAME STORY: Gruver ends San Saba’s run in state semifinals

SAN ANTONIO — The San Saba Lady Dillos were handed a puzzle in the Alamodome on Friday — a puzzle which nobody has managed to figure out in 2022. 

And it was there, in the Class 2A girls state semifinals, where San Saba saw its season come to a close in a 69-29 loss to still unbeaten Gruver. 

Bailey Maupin scored 22 points while Camryn Armes and Kimber Whitehead added 11 and 10 respectively to lead Gruver (32-0), which advances to face Stamford in Saturday’s 2A state championship game.
