2020 ROSCOE FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Battle-hardened Plowboys set sights on playoff return

After two tough years in a brutal district with state powers Hamlin and Albany, the Roscoe Plowboys will be expanding their horizons to the northwest this fall.

No longer league mates with Albany, Cross Plains or Haskell, Roscoe has instead been pulled with Hamlin toward Lubbock to join Crosbyton, Lockney and Ralls in the new District 5-2A Division II.

Facing a less imposing district schedule with a more experienced roster, the Plowboys have set their sites on a playoff return in 2020. And eighth-year Roscoe coach Jake Freeman is confident they can achieve that goal if they make the progress he’s expecting them to.
