They will again take the field with a varsity squad on Sept. 20 against Clarendon and will remain on a varsity schedule for the remainder of the football season.
The Moguls are currently 1-0 vs. varsity clubs and 2-1 overall.
Wheeler 33, Clarendon 8 —Coming off a lopsided loss to Hamlin, Wheeler redeemed itself with a rout of Clarendon.
WHS led 19-0 at the break and 25-0 through three quarters — never being seriously threatened.
Wheeler will next travel to Amarillo on Sept. 20 to face Highland Park.
Abernathy 51, Wellington 6 — The Antelopes avenged a lopsided loss to Wellington last season with a rout of their own.
AHS amassed 369 yards rushing and seven TDs while improving to 3-0.
Bryson Daily was the top ground gainer for Abernathy, with 163 yards and three scores on 17 carries.
Shamrock 36, Dimmitt 14 — In chalking up their first win of the 2019 campaign the Fighting Irish charted their best numbers to date, ending with 432
This included 259 yards rushing to improve to 1-2.
It is likely that Shamrock will need every bit of its current momentum going into next week with a road date against powerhouse Gruver.
QHS will again take the field on Sept. 20 when it faces Ralls on the road.
Memphis (0-2) — The Cyclones were Idle on Friday.
MHS will see action again on Sept. 20 when they host Electra.
