The Wylie Bulldogs rallied from an early 6-0 deficit to pull within a run of Aledo in their District 4-5A opener Tuesday, but the No. 11 Bearcats regrouped after that to grind out an 8-5 win at Bulldog Field.
After Wylie had scored four in the fourth to cut the deficit to one at 6-5, Aledo answered with two in the fifth to go back up by three runs and held on from there for the victory.
