Trailing Wichita Falls High 5-3 through 5½ innings, the Cooper Lady Cougars exploded for six runs in the sixth to open District 4-5A play with a 9-5 win over the Lady Coyotes at Cougar Diamond.

After tying the game on Jennika Willis’ single and taking the lead on Keiana Kemp’s double, Symone Gary provided the big blow for the Lady Coogs, blasting a three-run home run to center with two outs.
