Playing behind a pair of all-district picks a year ago, Abilene High defensive end Dylan Wright saw his action limited to one game as a junior, playing only in the Eagles’ season finale at Euless Trinity.

So if you weren’t familiar with that name when this season began, you weren’t alone.

But through his first three games as a full-time starter, the rangy senior has forced people to take note of him this year — particularly opposing coaches and quarterbacks.
