The Wylie softball team had little trouble with Lubbock High on Tuesday, cruising to a 14-3 Senior Day win over the Lady Westerners to set up a big regular-season finale at Cooper on Friday.
Leading 3-2 after 2½ innings, coach Heather Collier’s squad used a nine-run bottom of the third to take control and added two more runs in the fourth to end the game early by 10-run rule.
Wylie, which outhit LHS 13-6, never trailed in improving to 17-11 overall and 5-4 in District 4-5A play.
