The Wylie basketball teams both secured season sweeps of Abilene High on Friday, each rallying from a second-half deficit to down their crosstown rival in front of a capacity crowd at Eagle Gym.
The No. 13 Lady Bulldogs closed their game on a 25-7 run to defeat the Lady Eagles 56-40, clinching the outright District 4-5A championship in the process.
And the Bulldogs overcame a 27-21 halftime hole to claim a thrilling 52-49 victory over Abilene High and maintain control of their own destiny in the boys district title race.
