GAME STORY: Graham reaches third round for the first time in four years after hammering Monahans

SWEETWATER — Graham sophomore Damien Noria, a player on the Steers junior varsity squad, spent all week acting as a Monahans running back on the scout team to prepare the Steers defense for their Region I-4A Division II area-round matchup.

What nobody expected was to see him get a chance to shine under the bright lights of the Mustang Bowl on Thursday night.

With Graham cruising to an easy 63-6 win, Noria ran for 67 yards on 13 carries and trucked several defenders to score his first career touchdown in the third quarter.
