LUBBOCK — Trailing 12-7 early in the second quarter, the Wylie football team responded with 34 unanswered points to bury Lubbock Coronado 41-12 in a nondistrict matchup Thursday at Lowrey Field.

The Bulldogs scored 20 points in the second quarter and tacked on two more touchdowns in the third to put the game away before the start of a scoreless final period.

Coach Clay Martin’s team racked up 464 yards, including 295 on the ground, while limiting the Mustangs to just 205 total yards in improving to 2-0 on the season.
