DISTRICT 2-5A DIV. II WEEK 5 RECAP: Wylie drops heartbreaker in San Angelo as league goes 1-5

San Angelo Central 63, Wylie 61 — The Bulldogs dropped heartbreaker, allowing a 40-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the game to fall to the Bobcats in their final nondistrict game.

Wylie (2-3) rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to take a 54-49 lead in the fourth quarter and answered a Central touchdown with what appeared to be a game-winning scoring drive with just 19 seconds remaining in the game. But after evading a potential sack, Bobcat quarterback Tyler Hill hit Ben Imler, who split a pair of Wylie defenders at the 10-yard line to turn a 61-57 deficit into a two-point win.
