DISTRICT 5-4A DIV. I WEEK 2 REPORT: Yellow Jackets edge Everman in 62-61 shootout

Stephenville 62, Everman 61 — Ryder Lambert was 16 of 34 for 254 yards and four scores and Tate Maruska rushed for 298 yards and five touchdowns to lead Stephenville to a dramatic come-from-behind win over Class 5A Everman. 

The Yellow Jackets trailed 28-14 after the first quarter, 35-28 at the break, 49-42 at the end of three quarters and 61-56 with 0:34 to play. But Lambert had the final say, hitting Caden Henderson with a 16-yard TD pass on the game’s final play to lift Stephenville to the win.
