GAME STORY: Seventh-inning rally lifts Frenship past AHS in baseball

An inexperienced Abilene High baseball squad learned the hard way on Tuesday afternoon how hard, and important, it is to finish games as the Eagles fell 11-6 to Wolfforth Frenship in a District 2-6A game at Blackburn Field.

The Eagles saw the Tigers score six runs with one out in the top of the seventh to take the first of three games the two squads will play this week, spoiling a bounce-back effort by Matthew Ezzell on the mound.

Ezzell gave up five runs in the first three innings before settling down and then ran out of steam in the seventh, coach Lee Fletcher said.
