Senior Brooke Galvin, a four-year varsity player with a penchant for leadership, is a primary reason for that.
Jim Ned (34-3), which will take on Shallowater (35-2) in a regional semifinal slated for 7:30 p.m., will lean on Galvin to not only direct the offense, but to help keep the team poised in what is almost certain to be a raucous and difficult environment.
The Lady Indians won’t be alone in this challenge. In fact, all four qualifiers in this week’s event at Wayland Baptist University, which includes Brock (30-7) and Idalou (31-7), are known for having high-quality backcourts.
