District 7-2A Division I: Week 9 Report

San Saba 43, Valley Mills 0 — The No. 3 Armadillos continued their dominant run through District 7-2A DI, earning their third consecutive shutout to open league play.

San Saba (8-0, 3-0), which has now outscored its opponents 454-9 on the season and 152-0 in district, led the Eagles 29-0 by halftime and tacked on two more touchdowns in the third quarter to put the game away. Running back Eli Salinas paced the Armadillo offense, finishing with 201 yards rushing, 65 yards receiving and four total touchdowns, while quarterback Sean O’Keefe passed for 114 yards and two TDs and rushed for 109 yards and one score.

San Saba will face its biggest test to date when it hosts Crawford (6-2, 3-0) next week, before closing out the regular season Nov. 8 at De Leon.
