District 7-2A Division I: Week 5 Report

San Saba 55, Ingram Moore 6 — Playing a Class 3A Chiefs team that entered Friday’s matchup with a 3-1 record, the Armadillos continued their dominant start to the season, scoring their fifth consecutive win by at least 49 points.

Leading just 7-0 after a quarter, San Saba (5-0) outscored Moore 35-0 over the middle two quarters to take control of the game. Quarterback Sean O’Keefe led the offensive effort for the Armadillos, passing for three touchdowns and rushing for one, while Risien Shahan also had a passing and rushing touchdown.

Now done with its nondistrict schedule, San Saba will join the rest of its district in enjoying a bye week next week, before opening 7-2A DI play Oct. 11 against Goldthwaite.
