FEATURE: Improved Coahoma no longer just the Zack Schneider show

Coahoma's Zack Schneider barrels in for a third-quarter TD.

COAHOMA — A year ago, while learning the playbook of new coach Chris Joslin, the Coahoma Bulldogs were in full-blown simplify mode.

The offense, for the sake of execution, had been pared down — often with quarterback Zack Schneider as the focal point as its top ground gainer.

Coahoma closed Joslin’s first season with a 4-7 record and a trip to the playoffs. Schneider posted big enough numbers (237 carries, 1,901 yards, 27 TDs) to earn All-Big Country Preps honors. So in summary, the year supplied its share of positives.

Joslin and the Bulldogs, however, wanted more. And in their view, the key to achieving it was to diversify.
