LUBBOCK — The Brock baseball team could never solve Bushland starter Skyler Jaco on Thursday, tallying just three hits and two walks in falling 8-0 to the Falcons in Game 1 of a best-of-three Region I-3A semifinal series.
The Bushland junior outdueled Brock ace Cooper Nelson, who pitched a strong game himself until running into trouble in the sixth inning. It was just a 2-0 game until the sixth, when Bushland struck for six runs to put things away.
