Chyanne Ellett, Brownwood’s senior ace who has been among the area’s top hurlers since her freshman year, accomplished the feat last week in a 5-0 win over Chisholm trail and a 1-0 loss to Granbury that saw GHS pitcher Alison Been match Ellett’s no-no with one of her own.
The one run allowed by Ellett occurred in the sixth inning when GHS’ Rayli Ruby walked, stole two bases and scored on an error.
Ellett, who fanned 16 Granbury hitters, had 59 strikeouts on the week with a 3-1 and a perfect ERA of 0.00. She has already thrown three no-hitters this year.
In her spare time, she was also 7 of 14 with three doubles, a home run and 11 RBIs.
“Right now Chyanne is zoned in in every area of the game,” coach Jessica Lynn said. “Her defense, her offense and her pitching are just so outstanding right now and by her playing at this type of level, it’s raising the level of play of everybody else around her on the team and we are seeing something special out of her and (her teammates) right now.”

2. Sydnee Killam, first baseman, Sr., Abilene High — Had a monstrous week at the plate, going 7 for 13 with two walks, a double, four home runs, five runs scored and 15 RBIs as the Lady Eagles posted a 4-0-1 record in five games.
Included in that stretch was a 5-1 win over North Richland Hills Richland in AHS’ District 3-6A opener, which saw Killam hit a three-run home run to provide the big blow for the Lady Eagles, who enter this week at 12-1-2.
3. JoMarcus Guerrero, jumper, So., Ballinger — Collected four gold medals at the Ballinger Bearcat Relays last week in the triple jump, long jump, 400 meters and 1,600 relay.
For good measure, he also snagged a bronze in the 200.
4. Maddie Daniels, pitcher, Jr., Big Spring — Hit for the cycle this weekend in the Big Spring tournament with a single, a double, 
She also pitched a shutout, giving up only two hits versus Clyde with six strikeouts.
The Lady Steers are now 8-6 on the year.
5. Kaylen Washington, pitcher, Sr., Abilene High — Was nothing short of dominant for the Lady Eagles last week, posting a 3-0 record over three excellent starts.
For the week, she allowed four runs (three earned) over 19 innings, surrendering 10 hits and one walk against a whopping 31 strikeouts.
6. Citlaly Gutierrez, Josh Mueller and D’Marcus Barber, pitcher/pitcher/sprinter, Fr./Jr./Jr., Stamford — Three sports, three superb performances from Stamford.
Guituerrez fanned 11 in a one-hit softball victory over Ballinger. Mueller tossed a no-hitter in an 11-0 baseball win over Colorado City and Barber took home three gold medals and a silver to kick off the track season.
7. Kanon Doby, infielder/pitcher, Sr., Wylie — Had a strong week at the plate and on the mound as the Bulldogs (6-2) went 4-1 in five games.
In the batter’s box, Doby went 7 for 12 with four walks, three doubles, a triple, seven runs and six RBIs. And on the mound, he tossed three shutout innings in a 12-0 win over Cleburne, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out three.
She even picked up a win in the pitcher’s circle along the way.
9. Annie-Klein Allgood, pitcher/first baseman, Fr., Brownwood — Threw five shutout innings, was perfect through three and had a no hitter through four in a one-hit 15-0 win over Coleman. She finished with four strikeouts.
She also went 5 for 12 at the plate during the week with two RBIs and an on-base percentage of .462.
Something tells me we’ll be hearing a lot about this freshman in the coming years.
10. Ethan Hawk, shortstop/second baseman, Sr., Clyde — Went 7 for 13 at the plate with three doubles, a home run, seven runs scored, four 
The Bulldogs finished the week at 5-0.
10+. Peyton Lee and Haven Williams, infielder/pitcher, Jr./Sr., Clyde — Lee was 11 of 16 with a homer and six RBIs on the week with three steals and 10 runs scored. She also picked up a win in the circle with eight strikeouts.
“This is a team that creates a lot of opportunities for each other,” coach Reagan Sewell said. “Peyton is fortunate to have good bats in front of her and behind her which causes teams to have to pitch to her.”
Williams finished the week 7 of 16 and picked up a pitching win with six Ks.
“Haven continues to give her fellow infielders the confidence to make tough plays,” Sewell said. “Having a great glove like hers at first is nice.”
Clyde is now 11-4 on the season after going 3-1 in the Big Spring tournament and outscoring opponents 54-4.

Trent was the only 1A team competing in the event.
10+. Caitlin Crow and K’Lynn O’Shields, pitcher/infielder, Hawley — Crow had a 1.75 ERA at the Ralls softball tournament over the weekend, giving up only one earned run in the championship game win over Slaton. Hawley went 4-0 at the tournament.
O’Shields hit .571 on the week with six RBIs and won her weight class at the regional powerlifting meet.
She was also second in the 3,600 meters (13:03), while taking gold and bronze with the mile and sprint relay teams at the Buffalo Relays at Cross Plains.
10+ Travis Cauthen, pitcher, Sr., Eula — Was 3 of 6 at the plate with five RBIs and pitched four innings against Ranger on Feb. 25 allowing no earned runs on two hits with 11 strikeouts.
Eula is 1-1 early on.
