Stephenville 47, Dunbar 31 — Krece Nowak rushed for 218 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and Kade Renfro threw for 250 yards and a score to lift Stephenville to an easy bi-district win over Dunbar.
The Yellow Jackets had built a 34-0 lead by halftime and were never seriously threatened while improving to 7-3. Stephenville will square off with Celina (6-4) in the 4A Division I area round.
Dunbar finished its season at 5-5.
Big Spring 28, Clint 22 — Ethan Cortez scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter and threw for 128 yards and a score to lift Big Spring to a bi-district win over Clint.
A plus-2 turnover count aided the Steers (3-8), who trailed 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, and 22-20 at the end of the third.
Big Spring advances to face Hereford (7-4) on Friday in Plainview at 7 p.m.
Clint finished at 4-7.
Kennedale 58, Brownwood 20 — With 252 rushing yards, backed by a solid defensive effort, Kennedale ended Brownwood’s season with a lopsided win on Thursday.
KHS (9-2) will advance to face Paris (8-2) in the 4A DI area round.
Held to 133 yards in total offense, Brownwood finished at 4-6. Tommy Bowden led the Lions with 99 yard passing for two TDs.
Snyder, which was limited to 268 total yards, finished its season at 8-3.
