Stifling defense, punishing ground attack lead Hawley past Albany

Unable to have homecoming at home, the Hawley Bearcats took the show on the road and beat Albany 32-7 on Friday at Wylie’s Bulldog Stadium.

With the Bearcats’ home field under water, Hawley coach Mitch Ables had to find an alternate location.

Ables’ squad wasn’t affected by the location change and used a punishing ground attack in a steady first-half downpour to take advantage of the conditions and control the game.
